It’s no surprise that the Tories have been thrown into disarray over Universal Credit. Politicians can’t cause this much human suffering and not expect a backlash.
Jake Berry should stand up against this roll out before it is too late.
This failed Government programme is going to leave the poorest families, including half of single parents, £200 a month worse off. And, now that Esther McVey has admitted that people will be worse off under Universal Credit, this Conservative Government has no excuse for pushing ahead with their shameful and ideological programme.
Labour will stop the roll-out of Universal Credit, and deliver a more comprehensive system in which nobody will be worse off.
